1.1 If you'd like to sublimate it, make sure that the description and/or title of the product states that it is suitable for sublimation. You CAN NOT sublimation a standard supermarket tumbler.
1.2 If you'd like to personalise it with Vinyl or UV DTF, the product doesn't have to have the sublimation coating, but you CAN use a sublimation tumbler for Vinyl or UV DTF. So if you are using all of the above options to personalise your tumbler, it is always safer to choose a product with sublimation coating to make sure you can personalise it in all of the above ways.
Think about how you want to advertise the product
If you are looking for a tumbler specifically for hot drinks, we would recommend buying one with a screw-on lid. Keeping hot drinks inside an insulated tumbler with a push-on lid can cause the lid to crack or even explode. This is because of the pressure that hot air generated by the hot drink creates. So if you want to advertise your products specifically for hot drinks make sure you have the right tumbler or advise your customers to keep the lid open to release the pressure while the drink is still hot.
Think about the equipment you need to personalise it
If you want to sublimate different shapes and sizes of drinkware, it would be best to have an oven or an air fryer. But don't worry if you don't currently have one, you can use a heat gun instead! Make sure to check our Sublimation equipment and accessories Blog for more information.
